Have you heard about the new federal energy bill that passed on February 17th, 2009? In an effort to reduce energy consumption, the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 increased the tax credit amount on energy efficient products from 10% to 30% of the total cost (up to $1500). It is a combined credit for 2009-2010, so the maximum claim of $1500 is for both years. This non-refundable tax credit is valid on ALL qualified energy efficient products installed between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010. I install qualifying heating & cooling equipment.
